Yesterday evening was one of the highlights of the year for Donore Credit Union when we hosted our annual Christmas Dinner for Senior Members with a full course Christmas meal and live music in St. Catherine’s Church on Thomas Street in Dublin 8. We were delighted to attend the launch of 'The Tenters Remembered - A Second Collection of Essays and Poems' on Wednesday. This is a project that Ireland's First Credit Union helped to fund earlier in the year. It is wonderful to see the history of the Tenters being preserved - the area is the first Tenant Purchase housing project to be undertaken by the new Irish Free State.

We were excited to attend the launch of The The Liberties Community Project formed from the voluntary merger of South Inner City Community Development Association (SICCDA)) and @Robert Emmet this evening. Together, they aim to build on the grass roots legacy of these two organisations and to serve The Liberties with effective charitable activities and strategic supports.

It was great running for such a good cause on Saturday - here we are pictured with Sandra Kelleher founder of Shannon's Hopeline and Noel Fleming from Meath Street's legendary Noel's Deli. Shannon’s Hopeline supports and educates young people and their families in the Dublin area on the importance of looking after their Mental Health.
