In February 2023, Dublin’s award-winning bakery Bread 41 removed all single-use cups – replacing them with the commercially-proven Ecoffee Cup reusable cup program. Using Nova, our reusable made in Ireland with upcycled, sustainable materials, Bread 41 saved over €8,000 and prevented 36,000 cups from going into landfill in the first six months. The Ecoffee Cup reusable cup program follows a simple mechanic whereby customers pay a small deposit for their Cup, which is theirs to keep and reuse for as long as they like. They can also return it at any time for their money back. Owner Eoin Cluskey is so passionate about the program that he’s looking to the rest of Dublin and beyond to join him in removing single-use for good.
