AIG Chairman & CEO Peter Zaffino recently spoke with NBC Sports and Golf Channel host, Cara Banks, about the 2024 AIG Women’s Open at St Andrews, and our motivations for being the title sponsor of the Championship since 2019. In partnership with The R&A, AIG executed a shared vision to make the AIG Women’s Open the highest quality Major in women’s golf. Peter and Cara talked about the Championship’s key milestones – including tripling the prize money, bringing the best golfers to the most prestigious courses, and being honored with the LPGA’s Gold Driver Award for Best Player Experience.

AIG recently announced that Keith Walsh will join the company as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Keith will report to AIG Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Peter Zaffino and become a member of the Executive Leadership Team. He will be responsible for leading AIG’s global Finance organization and will be based in New York. “Keith is a highly accomplished executive with deep financial expertise and significant investor experience in the financial services sector, particularly the insurance industry,” said Peter Zaffino, Chairman & CEO, AIG. “I am very confident that he will be an excellent addition to our executive leadership team and bring outstanding leadership to our global Finance organization.” In this role, Keith succeeds Sabra Purtill, who has served as Chief Financial Officer since January 2023. Sabra will continue to report to Peter Zaffino, working on strategic projects and will act as an advisor to Keith to enable a smooth transition. AIG is pleased to announce that Paride Della Rosa has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of AIG Europe, the Middle East and Africa, effective immediately subject to applicable approvals. In this role, Paride will oversee AIG’s business across its 10 EMEA geographic clusters, comprised of 22 countries. Paride will work closely with the team in EMEA to further strengthen AIG’s leading market position and drive growth in this important region. Paride has been Chief Executive Officer of AIG Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) since 2018 and will also continue to oversee LAC until a successor is appointed in the near future. Episode 1 of Inner City Golfer is here! ⛳ Over the last few months we have been working with two Dublin inner city teenagers to show them that golf is a sport for everyone! People from the inner city may not get the same chance to take up golf as some others but that doesn’t mean they don’t have the talent. Inner City Golfer aims to create role models who pave the way for more golfers to emerge from urban areas across Ireland Thanks to Golf Ireland, McGuirks Golf, Clontarf Golf Club and Carr Golf for their support on this project.
