Against The Current‘s Chrissy Costanza has revealed a new solo single, “Perfect Crime.” The track is preceded by the October 2024 release of her debut EP VII.
Costanza shares of the new track, “The ‘Perfect Crime’ is about the silent, invisible ways we self-destruct—a crime no one knows you’ve committed because it’s all hidden behind a smile.”
Then she notes, “The song has a grainy rock sound; it’s intense and defiant. I wanted to bring not only attention to those parts of ourselves we suppress, but express those raw emotions that often stay unspoken. I hope it opens up conversations about what we often keep hidden.”

Of the recently-released EP, Costanza notes, “VII is a true reflection of my journey as an artist and every track holds a piece of my evolution—both musically and personally. I wanted to push boundaries, experiment with new sounds, and give my fans something raw and real.”
She continues, “It’s a new chapter for me that feels closer to my soul than ever before. Through these seven songs, I explored my love for fantasy and mythology, imagining myself as Icarus with wings of wax and feathers, hurtling towards the sun.”
