Terrific interview by Sadayuki Abeta on a 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 international TV program "SEA Today 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦", together with Eugina Jordan, Telecom Infra Project and Lia Yuldinawati, Telkom University. The diverse interviewee from 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗨𝗦 and 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻 brought very insightful views on collaborative 5G Open RAN showcase in Nusantara, the new capital of Indonesia. The key message was that Open RAN is a key technology for Indonesia’s bright future. Here are 2 reasons. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝟭: Open RAN will contribute to strengthening connectivity in the unique landscape of Indonesia, the technology which realizes basic needs to bring people together and connected. The land of Indonesia consists of more than 17,500 islands and contains highly urbanized cities to dispersed rural villages. In order to develop a nationwide mobile network, various network deployment scenarios are necessary. Thanks to its flexibility, Open RAN can provide an optimal solution for each location.
