Yet older employees, especially those in Senior Leadership positions have difficulties asking for help for their mental wellbeing. There is still stigma of weakness. GOOD MORNING GOOD LEADERS. What's your plans for tomorrow public holiday? I'd like to suggest to rewatch this movie. There is a scene where Carroll Shelby (played by Matt Damon) was in a room with Ford senior leaders, and he had to make decisions that were not in line with some of the senior leaders. We can learn and get inspired by this scene. Making difficult decisions in the middle of ambiguous situations are the skill required to success as Leaders. And there are actually a lot of improvements and frameworks in 'decision science'. We have coached Leaders in difficult situations, helping them to improve in their decision making skill. GOOD MORNING GOOD LEADERS. I saw this sign on the wall of a Leader. While it may encourage people to come up with a solution, Leaders need to communicate strong message that they are present to solve problems and make decisions, problems that people can't solve themselves. Remember to solve problems, or help your people to solve the problems and make decisions.

GOOD MORNING GOOD LEADERS. Happy Labor day holiday. We repost this article as this month there will be 3 holidays. And additional 2 days of 'cuti massal' (forced leave). Though we all enjoy holidays, many Leaders become anxious, as we need to achieve targets and performance standard despite the reduced working days. Are you sure you have systems in place to enable people to achieve their best performance?
Do you know the actual working days in a year? And how do you make sure that you have high-performing people in the actual limited working days?

As a Leader, how do you prepare yourself and your people going back to the office after the holiday?
GOOD MORNING GOOD LEADERS. Selamat Idul Fitri. Most of us will have some days off. Perhaps some will visit families and relatives. Others may go on a holiday. How do ensure we have a good rest these following days, so we won't say we need another holiday? One way is not to make a "to do" list, that makes the days filled with targets and tasks to complete, which is no difference with working days. Try to be mindful, enjoy whatever you do and experience. Learn to "do nothing".
