i2Coalition Policy Chair David Snead to Speak at Upcoming Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue Event
The Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD) is a forum of US and EU consumer organizations which develops and agrees on joint consumer policy recommendations to the US government and European Union to promote the consumer interest in EU and US policy making. TACD is made up of some 80 major consumer groups in the US and the EU, and was set up in 1998 to influence US and EU policy-making in the consumer and public interest.
This week, in Washington D.C. tomorrow, Tuesday, 4 June 2019, i2Coalition Policy Chair and cPanel General Counsel David Snead will be one of the featured speakers at their multi-stakeholder event entitled “Bridge over troubled water – consumer protection in the digital sphere”, in conjunction with the 19th TACD Annual Meeting. Snead will join a panel titled “Digital Trade: are consumer rights at risk?”.
i2Coalition has made digital trade one of its core focus areas for 2019, as the businesses it represents becoming increasingly uniform in their global perspective. Snead joins an esteemed group of over 120 consumer and civil society leaders, academics, regulators, government representatives, and industry stakeholders, and will share his perspective on why cPanel cares so deeply about issues surrounding digital trade, in its role as a leader in the Internet infrastructure industry.
More information on tomorrow’s event can be found at the TACD website.
