Last week, we wrapped up the year at DEKRA Technology & Services with our traditional office Christmas party! 🎄   Food, drinks, music, and great vibes made for the perfect way to close out 2024. It's always a joy to celebrate together in the place where we spend so much of our time, and this year was no exception. 🌐 Empowering our Global Team against cyber threats 🌐   At DEKRA, we have a global initiative within Global Integrated IT called BrownBag Sessions - informal, knowledge-sharing online events where colleagues come together to learn about critical topics. These sessions, led by experts within our teams, are designed to foster open, engaging discussions in a relaxed, virtual format, making them accessible to our colleagues worldwide. 🌍   Recently, we had the pleasure of hearing from our DTS team member Bianka B. from the IT Security team, who led an insightful session on the growing risks in cybersecurity. Bianka explained how cyber threat actors are increasingly using new technologies and legitimate services to launch sophisticated attacks.   She also highlighted the significance of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) and shared the latest tactics, techniques, and procedures observed in 2024 - including real-life incidents that DEKRA Security Operations Center has successfully mitigated. 🛡️   We are incredibly proud of Bianka for providing this session and are thrilled with the strong turnout and the active participation from our global team. 🚀 Connecting ideas and building a global IT community through DEKRA IT BarCamp 🚀   The DEKRA IT BarCamp is an innovative and collaborative event within Global Integrated IT, welcoming both young and experienced IT professionals to connect and stay up to date with the evolving IT landscape. It provides a unique platform for participants to discuss relevant topics, exchange best practices, and learn from each other's experiences.   As we shared in a previous post, we were proud to host one of the onsite events at our Budapest office, while several other online sessions connected colleagues from across continents. Last weekend, our energetic group of colleagues participated in the 39th SPAR Budapest Marathon, tackling four distances! 🏃♂️🏃♀️ Congratulations to all the participants for your incredible effort and determination! 📚 Continuous improvement is the key to success 📚 At DEKRA Technology & Services, it is an important goal for us to ensure that every colleague has the necessary environment for their professional development – this includes various training opportunities as well. We recently organized a 2-day Scrum Master training, led by the experienced Tamás Csépányi, PMP®, PMI-ACP® from Training360. The training blended theory with practical examples, demonstrating how we can effectively implement Scrum in our day-to-day work environments. The training was primarily aimed at our Project Management team, who gained practical knowledge that they can apply in their daily work. The goal of the course was to prepare participants for obtaining the PSM I certificate. This training provided them with a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of Scrum and how it can support them as a team. We believe in offering a wide range of learning experience to ensure everyone in the DTS team can continue to grow. A big thank you to Tamás for delivering such a useful and engaging session!
