Abstract: In recent times Building Information Modelling (BIM) has gained much attention in the construction industry. Due to the complexity of construction projects, it has become essential to provide 5D BIM models, that can serve as one unified source of information for all project stakeholders. Utilisation of Building Information Modelling has defined a method to speed up the construction process, to determine quantities precisely and to provide improved cost control. This master's thesis presents key integration methods that are used today for the development of integrated 5D BIM models. Case study of business/residential housing Bužanova – Štrigina has been used to provide guidelines for the optimal workflow when creating the 5D BIM model. Bexel Manager software has been used to apply this workflow.

Abstract: This paper introduces a comprehensive investment study for Olivium Ltd., a new enterprise addressing the growing demand for health food and eco-friendly products. Founders Roko Jardas and Kristijan Vilibić plan to establish an olive processing plant in Šestanovac to meet this market need. The company aims to produce extra virgin olive oil, sourcing olives from local producers, and intends to market the product to major supermarket chains, specialist stores, and hospitality establishments. The 10-year venture, valued at 2,051,985.04 HRK, is to be financed through a combination of the company's own funds (26.9%) and a bank loan (73.1%). The financial analysis provided in the study assesses the project's viability, using both static and dynamic evaluation methods. It considers revenue growth, operating costs, liquidity, profitability, and returns, highlighting the project's positive net present value and acceptable internal rate of return. A sensitivity analysis is also undertaken, showing the potential impact of fluctuations in business revenues and operating costs. While the project appears profitable and acceptable, potential market and inflationary risks are acknowledged.

Abstract: Earthquakes are natural phenomenon manifested as sudden and short ground vibrations. For engineering purposes, they are described by peak ground accelerations (PGA) and average return period which describes probability of repetition of the event. Due to unpredictable nature of earthquakes, they pose a threat to civil infrastructure. railway infrastructure is very sensitive to earthquake activity due to high precision required for safe rail operations. In case of earthquake rail infrastructure has to be examined and repaired to ensure safe running of traffic. The paper gives an overview of current practices for damage mitigation and inspection practices in case of earthquake activity on railways. HŽ Infrastructure are investing significant efforts into railway revitalization. It is based on assessment of the condition of existing railway embankments in respect to seismic loading. City of Zagreb is also located on high seismic zone and this fact should be considered when constructing and maintaining railway infrastructure. After a devastating earthquake that struck Zagreb in March 2020 one of key means of transport – tramway system has also suffered certain damage. The paper describes steps and procedures to ensure safe running of trams after the earthquake. Today there are methods and technologies that allow construction in seismically most active areas like Japan. Such technologies include seismic insulation systems and shock transmitters that are also analysed and described.
