*Crockett Law, PC* is seeking an energetic, reliable, and experienced full-time Paralegal to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of pre-lit case management, personal injury litigation, and social security disability matters.
This candidate should feel comfortable providing assistance to attorneys with a high-volume case load, answering defense counsel’s requests for discovery, drafting short motions, scheduling depositions, and calendaring per court docket control orders.
Must have the ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with others in a team- oriented environment.

*Essential Functions/Responsibilities:*
The paralegal/legal assistant will provide a full range of administrative and litigation support including, but not limited to:
* Maintenance of Firm's electronic calendar and case management system;
* Case Management.
* Drafting Legal documents, including motions and discovery.
* Possessing familiarity with the Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and demonstrates the ability to locate relevant rules needed to complete tasks assigned.
* Administrative and Court filings (county & district).
* Acting as a liaison between courts, clerks, clients, and attorneys as needed.
* Calendar Maintenance.
* Obtain, review and analyze documents, including medical and billing records.
* Manage files and documents.
* Prepare, calendar, draft and track settlement demands.
* Assist clients with medical care/treatment.
* Generate status reports, logs, and indexes.
* Assisting attorney with trial and hearing preparation.
* Interviewing witnesses.
* Filing SSA applications and appeals
*Job Requirements:*
* Bilingual (English and Spanish - not required but preferred)
* 5-7+ years' of recent legal paralegal experience in a mid-to-large size law firm.
* Bachelor's degree (preferred)
* 3+ years of personal injury law experience preferred.
* Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and multi-task.
* Possess a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
* Strong communication skills are necessary (oral & written).
* Strong time management skills with an ability to work in a team environment are essential.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* Software used routinely: Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
* Knowledge of Litify software is a plus.
* Knowledge tracking criminal history for defendants.
* Knowledge and familiarity with tracking down and obtaining filings in counties/jurisdictions.
* Reading and interpreting judgments to make sure revenue is allocated correctly.
