Rebecca Forbes is currently the Business Manager for the Honors College in the Office of Undergraduate Studies. In this role, she oversees key functions including budgeting, financial reporting, payroll/HR processing, financial accounting, and other business operations related to the Honors College. She interprets and advises on university policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the department's business management perspectives.
In addition to her role, Rebecca serves as an adviser for a UMD student organization and she is certified in Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
Prior to her current position, she was the Business Manager for the Division of Information Technology and a Program Management Specialist for Information and Education Technology in the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources at UMD.
Rebecca holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a B.S. in Information and Management Systems from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), as well as a Web Programming certificate and 15 credits in accounting from the same institution.
