Primary Responsibilities In the role of Area Human Resources Leader, we'll count on you to: Employee Relations: •Assist employees with interpretation of company policies and procedures including but not limited to; tuition reimbursement, benefits, professional registration, training, leaves of absence and general company questions.
•In partnership with the Regional Human Resources Director, handle moderate to complex, or out-of-policy, employee relations and performance management questions, concerns and recommended disciplinary actions.
•Consult with Regional Human Resources Director, Area Managers & Managing Principals on performance management and behavioral concerns including assistance with drafting corrective actions and performance improvement documents.
•Conduct investigations including interviewing relevant parties, documenting interview notes, and making recommendations based on company policies, business practices and professional expectations, and any other relevant factors.
•May assist in legal and compliance matters, agency charges, lawsuits and internal and external audits.
•Consult, coordinate and manage reductions in force and terminations of employment with the Regional Human Resources Director and Area Manager/Managing Principal, Regional Operations Director and Business Group Matrix leaders as needed.
•Manage the ADA accommodation process with counsel from the Regional Human Resources Directors.
•Ensure Human Resources procedures and responsibilities align with federal, state, local regulations and ethics practices.
•Drive annual employee performance review process and monitor results for maximum participation.
Oversee completion of reviews by management team and update in HRIS system.
•Coordinate leaves of absence with employee and corporate benefits team.
Update leave information in HRIS system and provide updates to management and corporate benefits as needed.
•Assist Area Operations Manager with personnel administration, salary plans and other special reports.
•Prepare area locations’ Affirmative Action Plans •Lead Area off-boarding activities.
•Monitor employee engagement surveys and exit interview feedback, provide updates/recommendations to Area Manager/Managing Principal on strengths and opportunities.
Inclusion and Diversity: •Assist with building on current practices to institute best-in-class efforts to promote inclusion and equity at all levels of the company.
•Focus on driving and supporting an inclusive work environment and on integrating diversity and equity into everyday business.
•Assist with inclusive, diversity and equity functions and positive initiatives.
•Complete the Affirmative Action Plan for your office(s) and engage staff in activities in support of the plan.
•Be a champion for inclusion, diversity, and equity.
New Hires/Recruiting: •Conduct new employee orientations and lead onboarding activities for the department, providing guidance to employees as necessary.
•In partnership with HDR recruiters, drive requisition process, inputting and tracking requisitions from inception to hire, which includes creating employment requisitions for hiring managers, coordinating interview schedules, tracking decisions of hiring managers on resumes, developing annual recruiting plans, coordinating immigration information with Immigration Coordinator as needed and participating as requested or needed on the requirements of the open position and managers.
•Oversee/lead intern recruiting program in partnership with technical staff as needed.
Staff Training: •Oversee basic and intermediate training of new and seasoned supervisors around issues of staff management, yearly employee reviews and leadership.
•Coordinate office training with corporate L&OD and participate in the development of brown bag seminars and other local training activities for employees and supervisors.
•In participation with the Regional HR Manager, develop and present a variety of training programs within area as needed.
General HR function: •Use HRIS systems to maintain employee records and process personnel actions.
•Oversee the completion of employee paperwork and send to Corporate HR for their employee file.
•Periodically audit employee system queries for accuracy of information.
•Plan staff meetings within office in conjunction with Area manager.
•Work with Department and hiring Managers to request salary compensation data from corporate compensation team.
•Assist with coordinating local wellness activities (flu shots, health fairs, health club discount programs, etc.
) •Understand basic HDR benefit plan provisions, assist with employees’ benefit-related questions of moderate complexity, and refers complex questions to Corporate HR.
