Interested parties have been supporting higher nickel price with propaganda of nickel shortage for many unfounded reasons. Smart people who follow nickel know there is surplus global nickel supply. Sumitomo Metal forecasts 2025 surplus increase to 104,000 tons. Reduced supply is the only tool interested parties have to push nickel prices higher: today's nickel data indicates a setup for large quantity of LME nickel to be removed from LME warehouses.
