Adaptation and mitigation are not opposing priorities but complementary approaches—two sides of the same coin. In today’s rapidly changing world, adaptation must go hand in hand with mitigation, serving as a foundation for fostering agency and building social capital. Yesterday, changemakers uncovered problems and identified opportunities during crises.
