🩷 Celebrating Togetherness and Empowerment! What an incredible day we had at the S.A.L.A.M.: Empathy Journey, Experience at Sailability Hong Kong Hebe Haven Yacht Club (HHYC) in #SaiKung! Organized by Institute of Leadership & Mgt Foundation Limited (ILM HK) through the support of Equal Opportunities Commission , the activity saw remarkable attendance and engagement, we were able to go on the Hebe One and also the dinghies, taking turns in the morning and the afternoon. We had sharing, workshop and sailing, all in one day! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this inspiring event. Together, we explored the power of #inclusivity and the amazing potential of People with Disabilities (#PWDs). The participant's engagement and enthusiasm made this experience truly memorable! Fafa's win for the Spirit of Perseverance Award caps a meaningful 10th year anniversary of Codekey Cookies where she included 11 NGOs with Institute of Leadership & Mgt Foundation Limited (ILM HK) being one of them. https://lnkd.in/gKs5zKzw Hong Kong’s first visually-impaired clinical psychologist, Jennifer Wong Ming-wai, earned the Spirit of Perseverance Award, presented by Manulife. In 2015, she founded Codekey Cookies, a self-sustaining social enterprise run by visually impaired people to promote social inclusion and offer jobs to those with disabilities.

S.A.L.A.M. #3: Talk & Workshop: Empathy Journey, Experience = Job Opportunity at Dialogue in the Dark Project S.A.L.A.M. is back! Registration is now open for Event #3: an impactful workshop focused on experiencing what persons with disabilities(PWDs) encounter at "Dialogue in the Dark". This unique event will be interactive, engaging, and feature a truly unforgettable experience and understand firsthand the existing job opportunities for PWDs. Why Dialogue in the Dark? Dialogue in the Dark is an opportunity to step into the shoes of visually impaired individuals and gain a deeper understanding of their world and how to navigate it, guided by them, relying on your ears, touch, and other senses. It's a chance to trust someone else and explore how they can use this ability to gain meaningful employment that let others experience their journey.
