【#DES2024】 The Digital Economy Summit kicked off its first day with a grand opening, drawing together officials and esteemed guests to partake in this momentous occasion The Digital Economy Summit 2024 commenced this morning with an opening ceremony led by Prof the Hon Dong Sun, JP, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the government of HKSAR; The Hon Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary, the government of HKSAR and Mr Song Wang, Vice Minister, Cyberspace Administration of China, accompanied by distinguished guests. Following the opening ceremony, the summit launched its flagship forum, the "Visionary Forum." Representatives from the Hefei Municipal People’s Government, Huawei, Cisco, Alibaba Group, AirAsia MOVE , JD Logistics, Smart Cities Council, Masdar City, and Visa gathered at the summit to exchange insights on how disruptive technologies can accelerate urban transformation towards a digital-first, collaborative, and data-driven economy. They also discussed the importance of people-centric innovation ecosystems, sharing the current state and future development visions of cities worldwide.   In the afternoon, three parallel forums will take place, focusing on "Energy, Environment, and Mobility," "Smart Economy and Business Innovation," and “Smart Industrialisation and Supply Chain."
