We maintained a sustainable and progressive dividend policy, declaring total dividends of HK$2.44 per share, and effectively managed financial challenges like higher interest rates and RMB depreciation. This year marks the 23rd anniversary of the NWS Volunteer Alliance, and we gather to celebrate this significant milestone every November. This year, we welcomed over 70 attendees, including our dedicated volunteers from various business units and NGO partners. Our management team, featuring Group Chief Operating and Financial Officer 林战 (Jim Lam), Group General Counsel and Company Secretary Peter Tang, along with Head – Human Resources & Administration of HML Michael Lai, Chief Human Resources Officer of CTF Life Fanny Chan, joined us for a day rich with meaningful experiences, celebrations, and impactful initiatives. Under this year’s theme, “Embracing Diversity, Empowering Communities,” we partnered with Dignity Kitchen Hong Kong 厨尊, a social enterprise committed to supporting individuals with disabilities through skills training, job placement, and integration. We organized a disability simulation activity titled "Hawker for A Day." Guided by Dignity Kitchen staff, participants engaged in various restaurant tasks, gaining valuable insights into the everyday challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. In addition to this engaging activity, our volunteers also demonstrated their commitment to community service by distributing meal boxes to 160 individuals in need, spreading kindness and support throughout the community. By empowering people in diverse ways, we strive to recognize individuals beyond their disabilities, offering the support they need to achieve independence and realize their full potential.
