Ms. Natalie Evie, a seasoned executive coach, underscored the importance of first impressions and the impactful role of storytelling during interviews. Natalie provided comprehensive guidance on various elements of professional dressing, including color, style, fabric, and fit. She also taught our students how to engage interviewers effectively by incorporating compelling and relevant details into their responses. Furthermore, students learnt how to develop a strategic roadmap for their resumes, align their current roles with long-term career goals through 2030, and kickstart their career planning within the Co-op Programme. 【𝐂𝐨-𝐨𝐩@𝐂𝐔𝐇𝐊 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 – Presentation & Elevator Pitch】 Our heartfelt thanks to Vivek Mahbubani, a seasoned trainer and stand-up comedian, for enlightening our 4th Cohort Co-op students on how to make impactful presentations.  🎓 With his engaging speaking style, students learnt the importance of crafting compelling narratives and how the presentation could be delivered effectively. 🗣️ During the workshop, Vivek illustrated that in order to arouse audience’s interest, finding an interesting angle and different perspective carries weight. 【𝐂𝐨-𝐨𝐩@𝐂𝐔𝐇𝐊 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 (𝐍𝐨𝐯 2) - 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧® (𝐏𝐃) 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩】 November marks a fresh start for the first batch of our 4th cohort as they embarked on their Co-op journey with the first preparatory course, COOP3001 Unlocking Employability Potential and Personal Branding. The pre-employment training began with the Personality Dimensions® (PD) Workshop, led by 𝐌𝐫. Johnny Lo, 𝐌𝐬. Esther Suen, 𝐌𝐬. Iris Lau, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐬. Yammi Wong. 🌈 Co-op students were guided to dive into four distinct personality traits while understanding these traits helped lay a strong foundation for effective communication and collaboration. Not only could participating students identify their core needs and foster greater self-awareness, but also gain insights into the values and stressors associated with different personalities, which would enhance their ability to get along and work well with others. 𝐂𝐔𝐇𝐊 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐁𝐀 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 Tencent has joined CUHK’s Co-operative Education Programme (Co-op@CUHK) this year as a key corporate partner, supporting aspiring students in their career development in the Greater Bay Area. Three students were selected for placements of six to eight months at Tencent’s Shenzhen headquarters, working in the finance and investor relations departments, enabling them to consolidate professional knowledge, enhance their competencies and improve their soft skills such as communication and networking.
