New Role | Chief Medical Officer, Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service   C-Suite Partners is pleased to continue our partnership with Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service in the search for a Chief Medical Officer (CMO).    The CMO is a highly strategic and critical role accountable for providing professional leadership for the Gold Coast Health medical workforce, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe care to the community.    Gold Coast Health serves a population of almost 700,000, while also providing specialist tertiary care to more than 300,000 residents in Northern New South Wales.   It operates the Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, and various other clinics and health precincts across the Gold Coast.   Gold Coast Health is now the largest employer in the region, with over 10,000 full-time equivalent staff and an annual turnover of more than $2.5 billion.   It continues to expand, the $1.3 billion Coomera Hospital is under construction and set to open in late 2027. Additionally, a 70-bed extension to Gold Coast University Hospital will open next year, alongside a new 40-bed Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit.   Reporting to the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE) as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CMO is a trusted advisor to the HSCE and GCHHS Board on clinical governance, systems, and workforce matters, in alignment with the broader strategic plan.     We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in clinical leadership and strategic service delivery within a complex healthcare environment.
