We are excited to share that Bloom Standard, PONS, and Voythos have joined Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate, our innovative accelerator program for health tech startups! Learn more about what these companies have already been working on and what they hope to accomplish throughout the program:
Bloom Standard’s flagship RAPIDscan is a 1-minute, autonomous ultrasound imaging technology for earlier detection, rapid assessment and monitoring of cardiac and cardiopulmonary conditions. The device can be operated by virtually any level of health staff, anywhere. RAPIDscan leverages AI algorithms for device smart placement and clinical decision support to serve as a diagnostic aid, guiding triage and referral pathways on the front lines, while addressing critical workflow bottlenecks in primary, speciality, and tertiary care.
What if your ultrasound could reveal the story every day by converting traditional mobile ultrasound devices into a powerful data source on disease progression without needing to develop or invest in expensive new hardware. That is exactly what PONS is about. PONS develops artificial intelligence models to enhance ultrasound imaging, unveiling visual insights invisible on conventional devices. Their deep learning algorithms elevate risk assessment of disease progress happening outside the hospital settings and patented image enhancement system increases basic ultrasound images to provide expert-level scan resolution, tissue contrast, and noise reduction without requiring expensive new hardware.
Voythos is creating a multimodal machine-learning platform capable of predicting life-threatening complications in patients with complex aortic disease allowing cardiac and vascular surgeons to intervene precisely, to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with these conditions substantially. The approach centers on a novel model architecture that integrates multiple data modalities using cross-attention fusion layers and specialized encoders, enabling highly effective contextual prediction. It is designed to predict the probability of a patient experiencing life-threatening complications, such as aortic rupture and aneurysmal degeneration.
