The add on is far from perfect. Maybe it works well with simple spreadsheets. On a spreadsheet with complex functions (IF, IFS) with multiple arguments, protected cells and shared with others it performs poorly and unreliably. As if they made it for kids to play around. Really a disappointment!!!!

Works fine. Very similar to Excel goal seek. Most people are either failing to give the extension permission to access Sheets, not specifying the three components correctly, or some other form(s) of human error. You need to specify a cell with a formula (e.g. "=E7*4"), a cell which is a component of that formula (e.g. "E7"), and a value you want the formula cell to be changed to by adjusting the component cell (e.g. "100"). In the example, E7 should iterate until reaching a value of 25... causing the formula cell to have a value of 100.

Too slow even for a simple calculation. Once started it just doesn't stop

Hopeless App - Doesn't work or even load. Keep getting an error "Message details We're sorry, a server error occurred while reading from storage. Error code PERMISSION_DENIED." It's back to Excel for me.

It does not work after installing. The extension shows up, but has only "help" shown, on click - nothing happens.

does the job but it is very slow like 30s to solve something easy which Excel does instantly

Doesn't work

This worked perfectly, founding a solution to 4 decimal places in less than 8 seconds. The options tab allow you to change the maximum iterations used as well as the accuracy and time limit. There were no errors as other people are commenting on, and you can watch the values change in real time as it does its magic!
