Following up Greystar's previous compilation album "playgrounds", playgrounds: recess expands greatly upon its predecessor. Although it started off conceptually as just a remix album, it quickly expanded into a full project in itself. Several alternative and heavier remixes of tracks off of playgrounds are interspersed with completely new ideas that illustrate a colorful world of low poly shapes in an endless void. While the playgrounds album art was created in a 2D space using paper cutouts and collage, playgrounds: recess expands this into a full 3D world, reflecting the depth of this exciting new release.
