Job description and responsibilities: 1.
*Fundraising*: You will share responsibility for developing, coordinating and implementing fundraising strategies to support the organization's mission.
This may involve organizing fundraising events with members of the FR/PR committee and Board of Directors, soliciting donations from individuals and corporations, writing grant proposals, and managing donor relationships.
2.
*Home loan processing*: You will work with prospective homeowners to guide them through the process of obtaining a home loan.
This may involve reviewing their financial information, helping them to prepare their application, and teaching the class explaining the loan process.
3.
*Construction*: You will oversee the safety of the construction projects of homes for Habitat for Humanity when assigned to construction duty on Saturdays.
This will involve working with volunteers, completing annual safety training and ensuring volunteer waivers are signed and complete before being allowed on the construction site.
4.
*Donation procurement*: You will be responsible for identifying and procuring donations of materials, services, and labor to support Habitat for Humanity's construction projects and auction events.
This may involve reaching out to local businesses and contractors, developing partnerships with community organizations, and leveraging social media and other communication channels to raise awareness of Habitat for Humanity's needs.

*Volunteer management*: You will work with volunteers to ensure that they have a positive experience while working on Habitat for Humanity projects.
This may involve recruiting volunteers, coordinating their schedules, providing training and supervision, and recognizing their contributions to the organization.

*Community outreach*: You will work to raise awareness of Habitat for Humanity's mission and activities within the community.
This may involve speaking at public events, writing articles for local media outlets, and engaging with community leaders and organizations to build support for the organization.

*Advocacy*: You will work to promote policies and initiatives that support Habitat for Humanity's mission.
This may involve engaging elected officials, working with community groups to advocate for affordable housing policies, and engaging with the media to raise awareness of housing issues.
8.
*Evaluation and reporting*: You will be responsible for evaluating the impact of Habitat for Humanity's programs and activities and reporting on progress toward organizational goals.
This may involve conducting surveys and assessments, analyzing data, and preparing reports for funders, board members, and other stakeholders.

*Strategic planning*: You will work with the executive director and board of directors to implement the strategic plan for the organization.

Position Qualifications and Knowledge: · Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, construction management, or nonprofit management, can be helpful.
A master's degree in a related field can also be an asset.
Practical knowledge and experience can count in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
· Work experience: Experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, construction management, or a related field can be beneficial.
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role can also be helpful.
· Fundraising skills: The Assistant Director should have knowledge and experience in fundraising and donor management, including grant writing, individual giving, and event planning.
· Financial management skills: The Assistant Director should have knowledge and experience in financial management, including budgeting and financial reporting.
· Communication skills: The Assistant Director should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as they will be communicating with staff, volunteers, donors, and community members.
· Organizational skills: The Assistant Director should have strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
· Leadership skills: The Assistant Director should have strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and lead staff and volunteers towards achieving organizational goals.
Working Conditions: · Primarily in a normal office environment.
· Exposure to a variety of settings when contacting the public, creating marketing materials and at events · Exposure to construction sites · Some evenings and weekends when necessary (may include meetings and events) · Ability to lift 50lbs (assisted) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.
