As the first year of UniAI concludes, we are thrilled to reflect on our biggest event, Makeathon. Over 200 Participants 36 Teams 5 AI Challenges              3 Days of Making 1 Incredible Venue & 1 Unique Idea                                              In April 2024, no more than 9 months after our Founders Efthymios Kontoes & Andriani N. came up with the idea of UniAI, no more than 7 months when the first generation of the 44 incredible UniAI members came together, and no more than a year since Konstantinos Rodopoulos participated at the Makeathon of TUM.ai the first Makeathon of Greece became a reality and a success, under his Lead. It has been tough to realize what we all created together, participants, partners, supporters, mentors, friends, and members. Seeing the community of AI innovation and education that we are shaping is priceless, and we are grateful for the contribution of everyone. First and foremost, we would like to express our utmost gratitude to Ίδρυμα Ευγενίδου / Eugenides Foundation, who trusted our passion & vision and supported us in so many ways, providing the perfect venue for Makeathon and being once again a driving force for creating opportunities and promoting innovation in Greece. Our incredible platinum partners, Travelmyth, Linakis Digital, Nova, Entersoft, Deloitte, and IBM, who wrote history with us, being the first to believe in our mission, having the foresight to invest in the work of a student team driven by AI and actively taking the lead in the spread of AI across the Greek rising talent. The journey has been long and we would really like to tag everyone who supported us along the way, but we are afraid that the words of gratitude would get lost. As this first big chapter of UniAI came to an end, we are emotional and excited for all the upcoming events, ideas, and surprises our team will get to create, under the leadership of our amazing board, with Katerina Anastasiadi, Georgia Tsamali, Konstantinos Riganas and Efthymios Kontoes.
