🌱 The Next Generation is Ready for Value-Based Business – Are We? 🌱 At the recent National Entrepreneurship Education Conference in Jyväskylä, our partners from Diak University shared insights into integrating sustainable and responsible entrepreneurship into education. The conference emphasized the urgency of teaching entrepreneurship with a social and environmental lens, moving beyond traditional profit-centered models. While many students are eager to address societal challenges through business, entrepreneurship education often still highlights rapid growth and profit maximization. To meet the values of today's youth, it’s time for a shift in the way we teach entrepreneurship! What can we do? Broaden the scope: Social entrepreneurship should be part of entrepreneurship education, offering students a path to create meaningful change. Foster value-based skills: Skills like creativity, innovation, and societal awareness are key for future leaders. The OBCD curricula and materials empower educators to support young social entrepreneurs, paving the way for a generation ready to prioritize impact alongside profit. 🌍💼 To read more, see the link here: https://lnkd.in/ewhQq4nx #SocialEntrepreneurship #SustainableBusiness #EntrepreneurshipEducation #OBCDProject #FutureLeaders

Σχετικά με εμάς
OBCD takes inspiration from the analysis of a new entrepreneurship paradigm. Due to the increasing employment need in the Social Enterprise sector, the Open Business for Community Development (OBCD) project was created by the EU Commission and launched in June 2022. Led by the University of Patras (Greece) and supported by 12 other organisations throughout Europe, the project aims to foster innovation and interest in Social Enterprise among Higher Education, Continuous Vocational Education and Training (c-VET) and the broader socio-economic environment.

🌍 Empowering Future Changemakers through OBCD at the University of Rome Tor Vergata! 🎓 We are proud of the important role that the OBCD Project plays in shaping the learning journey of students at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Students from the Global Governance course took part in our innovative pilot as part of their Management and Innovation studies. They delved into modules on Innovation Management, Leadership, Diversity, and the role of Social Enterprises (SEs) in ecosystems and networks. They even collaborated with an Italian social enterprise, gaining hands-on experience. 🚀 The feedback has been outstanding: 📣 “OBCD covered topics rarely addressed by university programs, with interactive sessions making it easier to grasp.” — Gianmarco Masucci 📣 “The concise and interactive structure helped me understand key areas like innovation management and leadership.” — Marianna Seck Beyond the classroom, students have been leveraging OBCD's resources for thesis research, using our network's knowledge to explore social impact. From evaluating the social impact of educational activities to conducting surveys on Social Impact Assessment (SIA), OBCD has become a key partner in their academic journey. 👏 Aurora Pirozzi and Nicolò Angelini are two shining examples of how our project is contributing to high-impact student research, with Aurora’s thesis exploring the social impact of education and Nicolò focusing on the challenges social enterprises face in assessing their impact. Learn more about these stories and how OBCD is making a difference in student research.
