DAS VILLAIN Justin stated (paraphrasing) that Selfless is GF's 'pure rock record'. When Selfless came out in1994 (I was 22 back then), I was slightly disappointed because it sounded so 'sanitized' mostly because of their major label debut on Columbia Records. Yet, upon further listening, this is signature GF in sound and atmosphere. Yes, the production is 'crisp', but Justin and Benny never loose sight of who they are and their apocalyptic, monolithic sound albeit stripped down. Favorite track: Body Dome Light.

Andy Scott my favorite Godflesh record along with Messiah and Hymns. Favorite track: Black Boned Angel.
