He is renowned for his extensive contributions to the music industry, working with iconic artists such as Aretha Franklin, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Ariana Grande, Elton John, Britney Spears, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Justin Timberlake, Whitney Houston, and Chris Brown. His musical journey commenced at a young age, accompanying his father, jazz drummer Harvey Mason Sr., to recording sessions with industry legends like Quincy Jones, the Brothers Johnson, and Herbie Hancock.
Mason jr. is a multi-talented individual, having excelled both in music and sports. He attended the University of Arizona on a basketball scholarship from 1986 to 1990 and notably participated in the 1988 Final Four with the Arizona Wildcats men’s basketball team.
