Week four (4) of Code with Agility began with a recap of the previous week's activities. Sessions focused on business creation and using AI tools to streamline processes. Participants explored business fundamentals and collaborated on ideas, combining theory with hands-on exercises to build entrepreneurial skills. They learned to identify viable ideas, analyze market trends, develop value propositions, and understand customer needs, with an emphasis on innovation and problem-solving for sustainable businesses. AI tools introduced included ChatGPT for brainstorming and content generation, Namelix for name generation, Canva for designing logos and promotional materials, and Trello for task management. Divided into groups, participants created businesses from scratch, considering branding, operations, and marketing, with the trainer encouraging creativity and collaboration throughout. Activities included developing unique ideas with ChatGPT and designing marketing materials using Canva. Participants explored platforms like Zety, Canva, and Resume.io to create tailored CVs that met job requirements and complied with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). To enhance their interview preparation, they used MyInterview and ChatGPT for mock interviews, learning to structure their responses with the STAR method to effectively highlight their skills and experiences. They also discovered AI-powered note-taking tools like Notion AI and Otter.ai, which streamlined their workflow by helping them organize and summarize notes from meetings and lectures. The trainer introduced image creation and editing tools such as Canva and Photopea, enabling participants to design high-quality visuals and branding materials. Emphasizing a strong LinkedIn presence, they learned to craft compelling summaries and optimize profiles with relevant keywords using AI tools. Throughout the week, participants practised refining their CVs, simulating real-time note-taking, and designing graphics for LinkedIn profiles. These tools provided tailored suggestions based on specific industries, roles, and individual profiles. Participants learned how to effectively structure their resumes, emphasizing key sections such as personal details, professional summaries, skills, work experience, and educational background. For interview preparation, they explored AI platforms, including ChatGPT, which simulate mock interviews, offer real-time feedback, and provide actionable tips for improvement. The importance of mastering the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to answer behavioural questions was also highlighted. The sessions covered optimizing LinkedIn profiles using AI tools to draft compelling summaries and showcase achievements, ensuring participants can attract potential recruiters. Discussions on building a strong personal brand and its significance in job searches further enriched their learning. On the 11th of November 2024, Soronko Academy in collaboration with Agility commenced the 9th Cohort of the Code with Agility Program at the Agility Logistics Park located within the Tema Free Zones. In the first week, the training sessions highlighted the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world. Participants gained valuable insights into AI’s transformative role across industries and the need to integrate AI skills into their professional toolkits. Key takeaways included AI’s ability to enhance efficiency, productivity, and decision-making, along with its applications in industries such as healthcare, finance, marketing, and education. Essential skills like machine learning, natural language processing, and data analysis were discussed, as well as ethical considerations such as bias, transparency, and accountability. The trainer explained the significance of AI by showcasing its role in automating routine tasks, providing data-driven insights, personalizing customer experiences, and solving complex problems. He emphasized the benefits of acquiring AI skills, from boosting career prospects and employability to streamlining workflows and staying ahead of emerging trends. The last session concluded with a powerful message: "In today’s AI-driven world, professionals who embrace AI unlock new opportunities, drive growth, and remain competitive."
