I'm proud to share that I had the singular honour of speaking on behalf of Penplusbytes at the #GhanaYouthTechSummit2024. As a proud sponsor of the summit, the Penplusbytes team took advantage of the partners' session to introduce the audience to the Voters' Compass platform (https://lnkd.in/euewhxcZ) since it was just weeks before the 2024 elections. The platform allowed voters especially first-time voters to find which political party/presidential candidate aligns with their interest/aspirations in the #2024election cycle, effectively equipping them to choose leaders who truly represent their views. The event had a 1500-member audience both online and offline according to organisers, Ghana Youth Tech Summit. It was a memorable experience for me to engage with the youthful audience and encourage them as young people to participate in the just ended electoral process and the deepening of our #democracy. #Penplusbytes #voterscompass #VoteSmartThisDecember

It was great being part of a panel discussion at the Ghana Youth Tech Summit, where we tackled the big question: How can we ensure that digital technology benefits everyone, everywhere? The panel, titled "Digital Inclusion and Accessibility: The Role of Stakeholders," was moderated by the amazing Prince Akpah and featured thought-provoking contributions from Emmanuel Mumuni, Eric Hackman, Philip Okoampah Kwaning, and myself. We explored the collective responsibility of stakeholders—youth, industry leaders, and governments—in bridging the digital divide. Key insights included: Empowering youth as digital innovators. Designing inclusive technologies for marginalized communities. Expanding access to digital tools and digital literacy through government policies. The discussion reinforced that true digital inclusion demands collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to leaving no one behind. On November 8th, 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Ghana Youth Tech Summit at the Accra Digital Centre. My goal in attending? To connect with fellow young tech enthusiasts, stay updated on the latest tech trends in Ghana, and learn actionable insights for navigating the tech ecosystem in our country. I'm thrilled to say that every expectation was met—and exceeded! The event featured inspiring talks and thought-provoking panel discussions led by some of the brightest minds in the industry, including Isaac Newton Acquah, Nana Adjoa Adobea Khartey,Eric Hackman, Emmanuel Mumuni, and Gabriel Ofori Appiah. I was especially excited to see my good friend and brother Abdul Wahab Osman among the panelists. His impactful work with Digifarms and Hive is a testament to the incredible strides young people are making in the tech space. His presence on the panel was inspiring, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him. The sessions covered critical topics such as: Digital inclusion and accessibility, How the youth can drive social change through technology, The importance of internet safety in fostering social change, Real-life stories of resilience and innovation from young tech leaders. Are You Prepared to Master the ABC of Emerging Technologies? These aren’t just buzzwords—they’re the building blocks of the next wave of innovation. This year has been an incredible journey of exploring these transformative technologies and their potential throughout the year with some incredible people. I’ve had the privilege of hosting an AI panel at Crystal Ball by AB & David , diving deep with innovators like Darlington Akogo, Foster Awintiti Akugri, and Erica Franklin in #Ghana. In #Rwanda, I contributed to a policy paper alongside thought leaders from Certa Foundation, Yellow Card App, and others like Eric Annan from Blockchain Builders Association Ghana, focusing on how blockchain and crypto can revolutionize African economies. In Abuja, through trainings and workshops, I’ve introduced organizations like SMEDAN, Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University to the ABC of Emerging Tech, showing them how to integrate Web3 into their business strategies. Delivering a keynote at the Ghana Youth Tech Summit, to presenting at the Association of Ghana Startups Ghana Startup Week, and speaking at the United Nations Youth Assembly ghana about harnessing the Fourth Industrial Revolution for trade and economic transformation. From trust, to trade and governance unlocking entirely new revenue streams, the opportunities are limitless when it comes to them. The highlight of the year? Joining the Global Network of Centers in #Thailand, where I got to listen and learn from world-class AI strategists and governance experts - Just for context to give you a glimpse of who was in the room, to my left Senior Executive in the Digital Transformation Directorate at CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean and to my right Colombia’s first-ever governmental chief information officer 👀.
