Today at the historic Palais Brongniart in Paris where « AI for Finance » conference is taking place, our Group Chief Data Officer, Hugues Even delivered a compelling presentation on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models at BNP Paribas. Hugues outlined our strategic vision for AI, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and creating substantial value across the board. He emphasized the importance of responsible AI in our operations, ensuring that innovation aligns with ethical standards, environmental factors and contributes positively to customer experiences and satisfaction. Our head of AI and IT innovation Su Yang also gave an inspirational speech during a panel on the new levers to deliver operational performance thanks to AI. Su insisted on the importance to have metrics to measure the cost and impact of AI initiatives, obviously to focus on value creation but as well to be able to track perception from your end users (NPS for example), and adoption throughout the organisation. Su also outlined the importance of involving all actors during the whole use case lifecycle (IT, business, Data) to go at scale smoothly. Key highlights on the two speeches included: - 🚀 Innovative use cases driving operational agility and efficiency - 🌍 Our commitment to responsible AI principles. - 📊 Challenges in measuring the real value created by AI implementations, and importance on focusing on most profitable use cases. The future looks bright as BNP Paribas continues to harness AI to streamline processes, elevate customer satisfaction, and shorten critical operations timelines. #AIForFinance #BNPParibas #DigitalTransformation #ArtificialIntelligence Artefact

I am excited to share that I have successfully passed the Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) certification from Scrum.org. This certification validates my knowledge of the Scrum framework and my ability to support and enable value creation and delivery. Earning PSPO I shows my understanding of how to bridge the gap between strategy and agile product management in order to create valuable products using Scrum.

🚀 Preparing Today for Tomorrow's Success 🚀 💡 I recently came across Peter Drucker's thought-provoking question: “The relevant question is not simply what shall we do tomorrow, but rather what shall we do today in order to get ready for tomorrow?” This perspective highlights a crucial mindset shift that can shape our careers, teams, and organizations. ⏳️ In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to focus on daily tasks, but Drucker reminds us that long-term success is built on proactive preparation. Rather than waiting for tomorrow’s challenges, we should identify and act on today’s opportunities for growth, skill-building, and innovation. 💁♀️ As we look forward, let’s make today count by taking deliberate steps toward a future we’re ready to lead. #Leadership #ContinuousImprovement #FutureReady #PeterDrucker #GrowthMindset

An insightful article by Harvard Business Review, explaining how conventional management focus on execution and expertise has shifted to an era centered on empathy and building meaningful communities with a common purpose. For all of us working in BNP Paribas IT Production, this shift is not new - we know well that, particularly in case of a major IT crisis, the most important step is to put together an Incident community of relevant experts and management decision-makers, who will jointly drive the technical investigation forward, manage stakeholders' expectations and restore the production service in an optimal timeframe. For the new generation of leaders, the ability to influence their staff, build communities where people contribute based on their strengths and expertise (beyond the line of command) will be an important aspect. #BNPParibas #BNPParibasCIB

Unleashing Data Intelligence: For our September episode of the Data Book Club we hosted a double feature from the New York bestsellers 'Algorithms to Live by' and 'Super Forecasting' for a masterclass on how to think, act and use algorithms to better forecast and predict in a changing world. The goal of forecasting is to foresee the future accurately and algorithms can help both humans and machines. We discussed how we need to adopt an optimistic sceptic outlook and think like a scientist. A few highlights and please check out the books for a whole lot more insight: Forecasting & Prediction are a Skillset that you can improve🔭 🔹 It’s a systematic approach that requires breaking down questions into smaller components. Use techniques like fermi questions and calibrated questions to help reduce uncertainty. 🔹 Actively seek various perspectives, test opposing views and constructively challenge each other. 🔹 Continuously update predictions as new information emerges. Invest in your Data Inspired Mindset 🧠 🔹 Key factors to being data inspired include your ability to offset biases, precision in making predictions and maintaining a growth mindset. 🔹 Practical experience and consistent feedback are essential for honing your skills. Add Algorithms to your Problem-solving Toolbox 🧰 🔹 Algorithms contains a lot of problem-solving wisdom that can help you make good decisions, predicts probable outcomes and becomes a more productive individual in life and work. 🔹 From knowing when to choose with optimal stopping, when do you stick or twist with multi-arm bandit algorithms, be incrementally less wrong with bayes theorem, when to leave to chance with randomisation to persuading others with game theory and beyond. What are in your toolbox? Finally, are you a fox or a hedgehog? 🦊 or 🦔 Our data book club is our member-driven community & haven for the inquisitive, passionate continuous learners and data enthusiasts. 📚 #databookclub #databookclub #forecasting #algorithmtoliveby #superforecasting #prediction #datainspired #dataanalytics

The more I deepdive into AI world, the more I’m convinced about the most important ingredient in succesful AI transition: leading change. 💡 70% of success comes from your people & processes, 20% techology & IT and 10% from algorithms. In other words, if you want the AI transformation to be a success, focus on systematic leading change in all organization levels. This is a great article reg. this topic. https://lnkd.in/dseGFYeY

Instant payment is slowly but surely disrupting the whole ecosystem, questioning well-established paradigms about liquidity management and forcing all stakeholders to adapt their IT and organisations. Philippe Penichou and myself are happy to share our view on this quiet revolution already in progress
