I moved to the USA to study at UC Berkeley for four months, within an exchange semester with HEC Paris. As a part of my semester abroad, I had the great opportunity to attend the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, an immersive one-week workshop for new venture creation taking place twice a year at the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology. It was a great way for me to discover the Silicon Valley values and to get in touch with brilliant people in the bay area.

We developed the functionalities using Agile Development and we worked with tools like Trello, Slack and Git to collaborate and work together. I was in charge of the project management from the very first estimations to the final product we delivered to the client. I participated in the design of the wireframes and the Human Machine Interface. Furthermore, I was in charge of the local data storage of a given user.

I acquired several management skills. For instance I was, with other team members, in charge of :

    - Defining a clear specification of the product with the client (Software Requirements Specification)
    - First Analysis and Estimations
    - Creating PERT and GANTT Diagrams
    - Defining roles and responsibilities
    - Setting Daily and Monthly meetings and Team Buildings
    - Analyzing project quality and risks
    - Design Management
    - Code Management and Decision Making regarding the tools and Algorithms
    - Testing Management
    - Maintenance Management
    - Deployment Management and meetings with the client after the SPRINTS (SCRUM AGILE METHODS)

A video of the project is provided here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSgGwkBUsD0&spfreload=10 . Basically, the user signs up (if doesn't have any account) and then signs in. After authentication, the user has to select 2 buildings. A map pops up and the GPS current location coordinates are calculated in real time. As the user moves from one building to the other, the remaining distance is updated and directions are given to reach the building that the user wants to reach. From a Building A (Library) to a Building B (Engineering Building), there are several other buildings and each time the user approaches one of them, images pops up so that he/she can make sure he/she is on the right path. We implemented also the "preferences" to enable the user to change the text size, the text color and style as he/she wishes. We also used several sounds while using the app.

Project 1 : Principal Component Analysis and Decision Analysis

Starting only from big sets of raw Data I applied Data Mining tools and used the R Software to answer some questions.

1 : Does smoking during pregnancy impact a baby's health ? Does it affect the gestation period ? Can we establish a relation between the education level and the smoking behavior ?

2 : Are the morphological characters distinctive enough to discriminate between four species of crabs ? Is it possible to distinguish a male from a female ?

3 : Is the CPU Load difference between an old version of AMD G-Series GX217 embedded device and a new one significant enough to conclude that there is an improvement ?

    To solve those problems:

    a) I applied some descriptive statistics to summarize and describe data (Summary, Boxplot ...).
    b) To conclude that the sets of data are significantly different one from the other ,I applied the Student Test and the Wilcoxon Test (when the difference between medians and quartiles were symetrics). And I concluded according to the p-value.
    c) To know if there are relations between some variables (for example the FPS and the CPU Load for a given process of streaming), I applied the Khi-Squared test to conclude about the correlation. The Pearson correlation coefficient was also extremely useful.
    d) I applied the PCA : Principal Component Analysis. After this, I had less variables , more summarized and distributed on different axis.
    e) Decision Analysis : I could establish a decision border on a graph with the represented data already well summarized. I could also estimate the error of probability.

    Project 2 : Clustering , Automatic Classification

Starting from big sets of data relative to the mutations that occurred and that make animals different one from the others: cluster dendrograms, hierarchical ascendant clustering, k-means
