🌾 𝐒𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚: 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 🌼 This year, sowing across the Indian country was marked by warm weather conditions. Starting in late October, most of the sowing took place between November 5 and 25, concluding in early December. • 20% early sowing • 60% intermediate sowing • 20% late sowing, mainly in southern Rajasthan (Kota, Bundi) and in Ganganagar, where delays in access to irrigation canals disrupted the schedule. The high temperatures of recent weeks have led to an early first irrigation, but the actual drop in temperatures is favorable for proper crop development. On the ground, the local Fields Executive teams led by our head agronomist Ravi Nair and our French agronomist Claire Deneufbourg support operations and work daily with our partner farmers on barley establishment, crop management, and sharing agricultural best practices. Their presence is essential to assist our growers in producing high-quality barley. 📸 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬? 🌼 Flower garlands are deeply tied to Indian religion and culture: they are used as offerings to gods in temples and during ceremonies. However, they are also part of daily life in India, often used to welcome guests. Here, the garlands were offered by the farmers' families who hosted our team on their farms and barley fields. These garlands symbolize respect, protection, and hospitality. These gestures reflect the generosity and gratitude of the farmers, who treat their guests with great respect. These flowers are also seen sometimes on agricultural tools, vehicles, and even in workplaces, symbolizing protection and good fortune. At Soufflet Malt, we are honored by these gestures of respect and proud to work with committed partners in a spirit of agile collaboration and tradition. #SouffletMalt #Barley #Agriculture #India #AgileCollaboration #Tradition
