Project developer designing high-quality certified carbon offset projects, supporting companies in their Net Zero target
À propos
Removall is a project developer designing and operating certified, high-integrity and high-impact carbon offset projects that contribute to achieving the Net Zero objective. We also support companies and organizations in their climate ambitions by allowing them to support, finance or invest in high-quality carbon projects. Removall develops and invests in projects that preserve existing natural carbon sinks, avoid or reduce GHG emissions, or increase the carbon removal capacity of natural ecosystems. Our approach allows us to develop high-quality carbon projects based on clear, structured, robust and proven methodologies. Our diverse international team combines decades of experience in carbon finance with a track record of billions of Euros mobilized in ecological transition projects to create a unique dual expertise in the marketplace. As an engaged participant in the voluntary carbon market, we strive daily to push the market towards greater impact and transparency by only supporting projects that have real, measurable co-benefits and equitable profit-sharing. For this reason, we focus on financing projects in emerging markets where carbon-based capital flows help address the significant development gap and disproportionate burden borne by local populations. We believe that carbon finance, when utilized with integrity and deployed intelligently, can be a powerful force in the fight for global climate goals, as well as for the protection and regeneration of the world’s most valuable asset: the environment. To go beyond carbon, our team also works on developing innovative environmental assets solutions, with a focus on plastic credits and biodiversity certificates.

🌍 COP29: Key Milestones for Climate Finance and Carbon Markets 🌱 On November 24th, COP29 Azerbaijan in Baku concluded with two landmark developments that could redefine global climate action: 📌 New Financial Targets Adopted A collective goal to mobilize at least $1.3 trillion annually by 2035, including a dedicated commitment of $300 billion from developed countries. 📌 Finalization of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement Clear rules established for international carbon credit trading, ensuring greater transparency and integrity, along with the creation of a new centralized carbon market under United Nations supervision. These breakthroughs signal new opportunities for voluntary carbon markets while raising important questions about how to achieve the ambitious financial targets set. 👉 Read our full analysis of the COP29 outcomes here: https://lnkd.in/dQfx6pQm At Removall Carbon, we believe these advancements are a crucial step toward a more ambitious and inclusive global climate agenda. 🌱 #COP29 #ClimateFinance #CarbonMarkets #Article6 #Sustainability #VCM #Removall Quentin Ssossé Geoffrey L. 💧 In Mozambique, over 50% of rural households lack access to basic drinking water. This forces millions to rely on unsafe sources, with women and girls spending up to two hours daily collecting water. Often, this water must be boiled, contributing to the loss of 3.9 million hectares of forest annually through deforestation for firewood. 🌱🌾 The health implications are severe—waterborne diseases like cholera are common, exacerbated by limited sanitation infrastructure. Additionally, Mozambique's mangrove forests, crucial for biodiversity and local livelihoods, are under threat. The country has lost 15,910 hectares of mangroves from 1996 to 2020 due to unsustainable practices. This loss impacts food security, as mangroves support fish populations vital for local communities. 🌦️ Moreover, mangroves provide coastal protection and store significant carbon, making their conservation essential for combating climate change. How can we work together to ensure clean water access, protect forests, and empower communities in Mozambique? 🌍 #CleanWater #ForestConservation #Mozambique #Sustainability #ClimateAction #MangroveProtection

🌍 Fraction of Non-Renewable Biomass (fNRB): A Key Metric for Sustainable Biomass and Climate Action 📈 The Fraction of Non-Renewable Biomass (fNRB) is a critical indicator for understanding the proportion of woody biomass that is harvested in an unsustainable manner. High fNRB values underscore the urgency to reduce wood consumption in developing countries. 🌱 fNRB is central to designing impactful carbon offset projects, from clean cooking to clean water supply projects. Accurate fNRB measurement ensures credible carbon credits and avoids potential over-crediting of projects. 🔎 New methodologies, such as Verra's VM0050, and tools like MoFuSS, are improving how we conservatively assess fNRB, despite challenges like data scarcity and regional disparities. 💪 At Removall Carbon, we fully support the new direction that international standards engaged in 2024 regarding fNRB. We recognize that future efforts should focus on improving data collection, standardizing methodologies, and promoting sustainable biomass management practices. 🎯 By committing to rigorous standards and innovative approaches, we aim to foster projects that not only reduce emissions but also create lasting benefits for communities and ecosystems. Together, we can champion sustainable biomass use for a greener tomorrow. #Sustainability #CarbonOffset #ClimateAction #RenewableEnergy UNFCCC-WGEO Regional Collaboration Centre (RCC) MENA and SA Julián Camelo Ríos Aurelien Cartal
