In Norway 🇳🇴, Byparken is a former engine shed converted into a venue for concerts, parties and meetings, accommodating 600 people standing or 250 people sitting. “The system at Byparken comprises FOH hangs of 4 x NEXO GEO M10 clusters with 2 x LS18 subs left and right” reports Asle Skaarslette from Norwegian NEXO distributor Hove West. “It’s a long building with a low roof height, so we installed one sub behind another which also helps with LF directivity. A pair of #NEXO ePS6 delays contribute to achieving very good coverage and the system performs well for the various types of events that take place there, from spoken word to rock shows.” Just a short walk away is Fredrikshald Teater, Norway’s only preserved baroque theatre built in 1838 and sill retaining a sloping stage floor and many old sets. “There are obviously restrictions when installing a modern sound system in an old building and it was important that the #speakers should make the smallest visual impact possible in such an historic space” says Asle. “NEXO ID84 #columnspeakers finished in a custom red paint colour to match the theatre interior deliver hi-fi quality #sound and speech intelligibility, while blending in very well with their surroundings. Mounting them directly on top of their partner NEXO IDS312 subs also positions the HF arrays at the right height to achieve excellent coverage.”

Foirail opened in 2022 and quickly established itself as a vibrant cultural space in France hosting a varied program of cinema, jazz and classical music concerts, theatre and dance. “The #NEXO GEO M6 system originally installed at the Foirail was perfect for the venue at the time” reports Technical Director Eric Vilchez. “However, the popularity of the theatre grew very quickly, and we soon found ourselves hiring in supplementary sound equipment for larger shows, particularly live music.” “The NEXO GEO M6 system originally installed at Foirail was adapted for the location at the time,” reports Technical Director Eric Vilchez. “However, the theater's programming evolved with more #livemusic, and we soon found ourselves renting additional #sound equipment for these shows.” So, members of the NEXO Engineering Support team revisited their designs for the Foirail and configured a new NEXO GEOM12 system capable of higher SPL and a greater dynamic range and arranged a demo to coincide with a Manu Katché concert at the venue. Suitably impressed, a tender was produced, and the supply of the new system awarded to local technical services company Axilon. The full system at the Foirail comprises left and right hangs of 7 x NEXO GEOM12 with 3 x MSUB18s on the floor, a centre cluster of 3 x GEO M10, 3 of the original GEO M6s per side for side fills and 4 x NEXO P8s for #frontfills. The system on the outdoor Restaurant Terrace comprises 16 x NEXO’s ultra-compact and discreet ID14s supplemented by IDS110 subs, with #NEXO ePS6 cabinets installed on the private dining terrace and in private dining rooms. P12 main #speakers and L15 subs from NEXO’s industry-standard P+ Series provide all the performance necessary to get the party started in the Lounge and Bar, extending onto the Lounge Terrace with additional ePS6 speakers and IDS110 subs. 🍹🍸 Ovejo in Bogotá is a vibrant bar and restaurant where locals and visitors alike enjoy great burgers, cocktails and drinks in a relaxed and friendly setting. With #music central to the vibe, the choice of #soundsystem was an important consideration for the venue owners. “The team at Ovejo approached us to design a system that would be powerful and reliable, with consistent coverage throughout all areas of the bar” comments Francisco Meléndez, General Manager of pro audio technology specialists Sound Logics, also based in Bogotá. “We knew that a NEXO system would deliver the right combination of performance, quality and versatility.” The system at Ovejo comprises 4 x P8 from NEXO’s latest P+ Series point source range, 8 x PS10R2 and a pair of mighty RS18 subs underpinning the #sound with an LF performance that is felt every bit as much as it is heard. Single NEXO NXAMP4X4 and NXAMP4X1s combine to provide all the necessary power and processing. “The Ovejo owners are very pleased with the #NEXO installation. It’s a brand and system that they love, trust and really enjoy.”

Sound reinforcement at the theatre du Blanc-Mesnil in France, comprises a NEXO STM system provided on a long-term rental basis by Loiret-based technical #sound and lighting solutions specialists SPL, supplement by the theatre’s own inventory of NEXO #speakers and powered controllers. Clusters of 6 x STM M28 main modules are flown beneath 3 x STM B112 bass extension modules either side of the 22-metre-wide stage, with further sub-bass extension from ground stacks of 3 x NEXO S118s. Small stacks of 3 x NEXO’s compact GEO M6 cabinets are located immediately adjacent to the subs for in fill, with 4 x ID24s from NEXO’s ground-breaking ID Series used for front fills. The venue’s own #NEXO GEO S12s provide delays ensuring consistent, time-aligned coverage to the back row of the balcony, and the entire system is powered by NEXO NXAMPs fitted with Dante network cards. “The system is on long-term rental, which allows us to modulate the number of speakers according to the seasons we have. It is like a test centre, a laboratory, in order to get the most out of it in a real configuration: a performance hall. “We have had very good feedback from the sound engineers who have worked with the system. In summary, it is a very good system that fits everywhere, for all activities. We are able to accommodate all disciplines of live performance with this system.”
