FAO-GFCM, through the FishEBM MED project, is tackling IUU fishing in the Mediterranean by strengthening fisheries laws, equipping inspectors with innovative tools like drones, and fostering cross-border cooperation. In November 2024, inspectors from 8 countries participated in hands-on training in Spain, enhancing their ability to monitor and control fishing practices.
