  🌊 Qair Group and Etermar Energia partner to advance Floating Offshore Wind in the Iberian Peninsula Qair is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Etermar Energia, the renewable energy branch of leading Portuguese maritime engineering company Etermar. This partnership sets the stage for the joint development of future offshore wind projects across the Iberian Peninsula. The MOU was signed during a visit by Etermar Energia to our Eolmed 30 MW floating offshore wind project, currently under construction in Port-La Nouvelle, France. Key highlights of this collaboration features: 💡 Qair’s expertise in renewable energy project development – gained through Eolmed and Thistle Wind Partners' Scotwind offshore wind farms projects. 🏗️ Etermar Energia’s facilities – from foundation manufacturing to logistical support and Operation & Maintenance services tailored to floating wind development. “Collaborating with Etermar Energia aligns with Qair’s multi-local strategy based, which aims to guarantee a local content approach. ☀️ A new milestone for Qair in advancing Solar Energy in Tunisia   Qair Group, in partnership with Mazarine Energy, has officially launched the construction of its two 10 MWp photovoltaic (PV) farms located in Feriana, in the Kasserine governorate.   Key project highlights: 💡 Annual electricity production capacity of 44 GWh 🏘️ Equivalent to powering 30,000 households 🔥 Saving 8,000 tonnes of natural gas annually 🌫️ Avoiding 17,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually 🗓️ Commissioning target: February 2025   The ceremony was attended by the Tunisian Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Fatma Thabet Chiboub, underscoring the government’s active support for renewable energy initiatives.   These PV farms will enhance the national grid's resilience, ensure consistent electricity supply in the region, and meet peak demand with clean energy. #SolarEnergy: Qair commissions its first fully developed PV farm in Italy ☀️ Qair Group announces the commissioning of an 8.2 MWp solar PV farm in Marrubiù, Sardinia. This milestone increases the Group’s total capacity in Italy to 21 MW and marks our first fully developed project in the country. Built on municipal land, it will also provide 30 years of rental income to the local community. Qair Signs Renewable PPA with Safran in Poland 🌱    Qair has signed a landmark Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (cPPA) with Safran, a global leader in the aviation and defense industry. 🌊 Qair exports its offshore wind energy expertise to the Iberian Peninsula at #MaritimeHub2024 Inigo Viani Desplats-Redier Viani, Iberia Director of Qair, and Sandra Baksay, our expert in environmental studies, participated in the 4th edition of the Maritime Hub 2024, held in Barcelona. The event brought together over 200 experts to explore the challenges and opportunities within the #BlueEconomy. 🗣️ Qair contributed to the discussions during a roundtable session led by Professor Miquel Canals, focusing on the theme “Energy and the Sea: The New Frontiers.” We shared insights from our projects in the Gulf of Lion highlighting advancements in renewable hydrogen with #HydOcc and offshore wind with Eolmed, placing particular emphasis on their industrial, social, and environmental integration. 🤝 These discussions reinforce the potential of cross-border strategies among neighboring communities. The development of the blue economy transcends national borders and relies on international cooperation, knowledge sharing, and innovation. This event is a great example of the importance of collaboration between research centers and industry.
