Interactivity is the future ;-)
Streaming's value is peaking. Too passive. Too diluted. Too disconnected. And the new version will be far more immersive & interactive. Think about this: 1) Superfans spent 13% LESS time listening* 2) And 42% MORE time creating last year* And the next generation? Gen Z in the US spent 11% LESS on streaming in 2023!^ 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰'𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 & 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆! They don't just want to be served personalized content in their isolated little siloes. People want to be connected. They want to be involved. The want to create! Not just passively consume. And while people view passive music consumption as free - they'll happily spend real money on something they're actively involved in. Inventing experiences where fans are active participants is the next phase of music's growth. It's how you stand out. It's how you connect. Goodbye passive. Interactivity is the future. --- I'll go deeper on this & more in this week's Where Music's Going: https://lnkd.in/gHZ-C58s *Superfan stats via MIDiA Research ^Gen Z stat via @luminatedata
