Airbus Helicopters has signed a contract with His Excellency, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior of Bahrain, for the purchase of nine H145 helicopters. These aircraft will be operated by the Police Aviation Command for law enforcement missions and emergency medical services in the kingdom. “We are very proud that the Ministry of Interior of Bahrain has chosen to become a new member of the H145 worldwide community,” said Olivier Michalon, EVP for Global Business of Airbus Helicopters. “We are sure that the H145 will quickly become a valuable new asset for the Bahraini police. As a truly multi-role helicopter, the H145's versatility makes it a key asset for public safety missions around the world and in the region. More than 60 H145s are already in service in the Middle East and demand for this type of helicopter continues to grow for a vast array of missions: emergency medical services, operations in the energy sector, law enforcement and utility missions,” he added. #AirbusHelicopters #MakingMissionsPossible #H145

Dubbed a once-in-1,000-year rainfall event by the National Weather Service, Hurricane Helene ravaged communities across the Southeast of the US in late September 2024, leaving more than 2,000 landslides in western North Carolina alone. Despite the challenging conditions left in the wake of the hurricane, the U.S. National Guard was able to perform critical relief and rescue operations with the Airbus UH-72 Lakota. #AirbusHelicopters #MakingMissionsPossible #Lakota

What better way to prepare for the end of the week by reading the latest edition of Rotor magazine? Meet the brave Bombeiros, fighting fires in Rio and hear from the Japanese crew that helped airlift a woman to safety when they found her 80 km out to sea, after she'd been adrift for 24 hours. https://lnkd.in/eBGGPgrA #AirbusHelicopters #RotorMagazine #Airbus

The Swedish Armed Forces have celebrated the end of the NH90 retrofit programme at Airbus Helicopters’ site in Marignane, France. The celebration marks the end of the upgrade programme to convert four NH90 helicopters from the troop transport version to one adapted to anti-submarine warfare. The Swedish Armed Forces will now operate nine NH90s (HPK14 E) in the land configuration for troop transport and search and rescue missions and nine NH90s (HPK14 F) in the anti-submarine warfare version with a sonar that is particularly adapted to the shallow waters of the Baltic Sea. "We are proud to be delivering this last retrofitted NH90 to the Swedish Armed Forces in the beginning of 2025 as it is an essential asset to the country,” said Axel Aloccio, President of NHIndustries and Head of the NH90 programme at Airbus Helicopters. “We are also proud to see that our combined efforts to improve the availability of the helicopter are delivering the expected results enabling Sweden to fully benefit from the superior capabilities of the NH90. In fact, flight hours have risen by 60% compared to 2022 thanks to the delivery of the retrofitted helicopters, the increased spare parts deliveries and the outsourcing of deep maintenance activities to an industry partner. The Swedish NH90 fleet is now able to perform all of the flight hours presently requested by the Swedish Armed Forces,” he added. #AirbusHelicotpers #NH90 #MakingMissionsPossible #Sweden
