IoT is not for everyone. At least to develop solutions by yourself. I started a new hobby this spring, mountain biking. I have discovered that Tampereen kaupunki - City of Tampere is amazing area for MTB! Lots of trails of different difficulty levels. Beautiful views! Yesterday, we had a very nice run with my colleagues in the woods of Hervanta, 20km of trails. However, it was close that I didn't participate. My bike app (yes, you may ask why a bike needs an app) prompted me to update the SW of the electric engine. Well, who if not me, wireless company CEO, want to do it. Unfortunately the Over The Air update crashed in the middle of the process and my bike's e-functions became a brick! I googled about the problem and realized I was not alone. There was number of similar cases for the same brand. I had no other option but to take the bike to the service. I was told to be lucky, not all recover even at the service. What if you operate millions of devices in industrial applications, like smart meters. Your OTA crash, and you can't recover wirelessly. You can only imagine the cost. It is easy to get IoT solutions to work 99% of cases. But to make them working 100% is very different approach. And development cost too. Think twice, is it worth to implement this by yourself, or trust a company that does it for millions daily basis.

Have you tried to spend a day without interacting with a GenAI topic, with success? Most likely not, it is the talk of the town as we all know. If you do have those ambitions here is my contribution to make it impossible.   We have just launched our newest GenAI initiative, our new chatbot enhanced with ChatGPT capabilities. Launching something that is based on trending technology, it’s nothing new in itself, I would also guess that's kind of what you would expect. However, we’ve always been curios and obsessed about how technology can improve customer and employee experience.   So, in our trademark manner we have been thinking and have come up with a clever solution that reduces the time to "train" and deploy the bot. At the same time, we’ve introduced easy to use features that secures the quality in the interactions and of course supportive functions to improve the quality even further. Emproof's Technical Marketing Manager and Embedded Security Expert, Nils Albartus, recently reviewed an insightful article from embedded.com on the rise of Rust and the dominance of C/C++ in embedded systems. See Nils' thoughts below 👇   According to the figures highlighted, C/C++ will continue to dominate the embedded software landscape, accounting for the vast majority of systems. This highlights an important challenge for businesses — memory safety.   While Rust is often praised for its memory safety features, Jacob Beningo, the article’s author, estimates that Rust will only be used in 10% of embedded systems in the next decade. This means that most likely ~80% of embedded systems will continue to rely on memory-insecure languages, such as C/C++, in the next decade.   With the rise of connected devices, IoT, and more complex embedded applications, memory vulnerabilities will become a growing issue. Software security solutions that can mitigate memory safety risks in existing and new C/C++ codebases are more crucial than ever. Final session recorded for the Telia Cloud days x #Microsoft. Again amazing event coming up for Telian's wanting to dig deeper into ai in business or technical track. Be sure to check it out later in this month. I was privileged to be a part of two presentations. The first one will be on the technical track and sharing the stage with awesome Erik Perninge. In that presentation we will look into #Fabric and build full end to end a contact categorisation pipeline in couple of minutes from data ingestion to visualisation. I think that fabric offers a simple setup to start doing full end to end analytics and ai workflows with developer focused view! Have found myself using the tool a lot for fast prototyping data pipelines and simple machine learning tasks. Also we had a fun time with Erik setting up this demo session! On the business track I had the change to interview Riikka Tulimäki about generative ai and potential in MarTech. I was amazed by Riikka's views and points. I think it was very inspirational and she had good points that change management is key part of bringing AI into any business ecosystem. Today we are releasing our 3.45 GHz visualizer which offers insights and support for operators and stakeholders involved with this spectrum. The 3.45 GHz spectrum band is auctioned by Partial Economic Areas (PEAs). However, for specific markets, license owners must coordinate with the Department of Defense (DoD) to avoid interference with critical DoD operations. This coordination involves navigating Cooperative Planning Areas (CPAs) and Periodic Use Areas (PUAs), which can be a complex process.
