We are scaling up the support and advisory services for technical assistance for implementing the MCFA programme. Clean cooking solutions play a critical role in #ClimateAction and #SustainableDevelopment. The COP29 side event ‘Future growth scenarios in the clean cooking sector’ organised by Modern Cooking Facility for Africa at the UN Climate Change Conference #COP29 on 14 November, emphasised the pivotal role of carbon finance in making clean cooking technologies accessible and the need for higher carbon prices to improve project economics. We arranged last week at UN Climate Change Conference COP29 Azerbaijan a side event on “Future growth scenarios in the clean cooking sector – Role of carbon finance to scale up activities” at the Nordic pavilion on #Finance day 14 November. The event discussed the pivotal role of #carbonfinance in making #cleancooking technologies accessible, emphasised the need for higher carbon prices to improve project economics, highlighted the role of innovative technologies in monitoring and aggregating carbon finance and featured insights on biofuels and national strategies from Zambia and Kenya.
