Inspired by the awesome people and everything about #Slush, I'm thinking about how we turn this energy and intelligence into prosperity and well-being. Growth comes from freedom, people identifying problems that they want to solve and freedom to just do it without absurd taxes and regulations. I've seen and been involved with small teams that create wonders. And they do it themselves, they don't need support from anyone, they just need the freedom to operate. We should tax and regulate outcomes, not action. What’s surprising is that people are still shocked when, once you stop suffocating citizens with absurd taxes and regulations, the economy breathes and prospers.

Uncovering problems is hard. We’ve spent a lot of time with our portfolio companies and potential investments, working to refine ideas that genuinely solve real customer pain points. The validation process is never easy, which led us to develop our own Idea Validation Tool. This tool helps keep you honest, gives you feedback on how to improve your interviews and gives you a Validation Score of how badly the customer needs your product. 👨🚀 The most exciting thing happening in Helsinki these days: ReOrbit is opening their satellite factory in Helsinki city center. https://lnkd.in/dTqje3AK When we first met Ignacio Chechile and Sethu Saveda Suvanam, they had a very strong vision for the future of satellites and experience to back it up. They were split between Finland and Sweden. We're big fans of Finland and Sweden but it's kind of nice to have this factory in my home town! Icebreaker.vc was the first investor in ReOrbit and we've been backing this team since the idea-stage.
