Get to know Selina

I joined Flying Colours in January 2023 and have more than six years’ experience working with independent financial advisers. I liaise with clients and providers to ensure the advice issued is implemented in a timely fashion. I enjoy forming relationships with our clients, new and existing.

Outside of work

I enjoy taking my two young children to experience new things, places, shows, foods, etc. I get a lot of joy watching them see and experience things for the first time.

I participate in charity walking events and enjoy cooking, history, and a good true crime documentary.

What do love about your job?
I enjoy helping others, and this role gives me plenty of opportunity to do that, whether that be helping to ensure an adviser has all the information they require to answering questions from clients about the services Flying Colours offer.
What do you love about Flying Colours?
The people, the culture, even the office building. I could go on and on about why, for the first time in a long time, I enjoy Mondays again but ultimately, I feel the company works very hard to look after its employees and their clients. In my opinion, when people make an effort to do right by others, it makes for a pleasant environment to work in.
Absolute loves
Anything that makes me laugh. The colour pink. A good ice-cold cider on a boiling hot day. Being spontaneous – if the kids fancy fish and chips for dinner, I’ll drive an hour to the coast so we can eat them on the beach!
Pet hates
Negativity, bullies, being told to stop singing, tall shelves in supermarkets, and people who put the toilet roll on the holder the wrong way around!
