POSITION: Shipping Clerk
REPORTS TO: Order Picking Supervisor or Shipping Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing daily operational support, including but not limited to the timely recording of data and production related information, as well as daily production planning and research support.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
Capable of driving a variety of material handling vehicles.
Knowledge of and/or ability to learn 5-Why and RCA (A3 or 8D).
Willingness to support daily operational needs in support of all customers internal and external.
Strong attention to detail.
Able to work as part of team in a fast-paced work environment
Good reading comprehension is necessary.
Able to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other industrial power equipment, computers, ERP/MRP systems, telephone, facsimile, scanners, and other related office equipment.
Must be able to adhere to company attendance policy.
Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds, unassisted.
Must be willing to work in an office and industrial setting with varying temperatures and noise levels.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
Conduct daily cycle counts
Review, confirm and enter daily production confirmations
Research, solve and plan issues related to customer back-orders.
Input customer returns data to inventory.
Back-up support for production planning.
Track, report and maintain KPI dashboard for High Speed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a 2-year degree, with a 4-year degree in Business Administration, or Technical field, preferred
5 years of experience in a warehousing/production/manufacturing setting, minimum.
A combination of education and work experience may be considered
Knowledge of lean methodologies and practices
Experience with MS Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Knowledge of and/or exposure to Japanese Automotive production principles preferred.
