Maintenance Technician - Automation

POSITION: Maintenance Technician - Automation REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Maintenance CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time LOCATION: Mount Carmel, IL JOB SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician - Automation with MotoRad of America will be responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
In this position, the Maintenance Technician – Automation will be primarily focused on maintaining the operation of Jones machinery, the boxing machines for production.
Additional duties may include performing routine maintenance around the building, repairing broken or leaking plumbing, maintaining the building HVAC system, applying preventative measures to reduce risk of future problems to the building, and fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
REQUIREMENTS Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production/distribution environment Ability to work in varying temperatures in a warehouse environment Experience maintaining filling and packaging equipment Completing product changeovers on equipment PRIMARY OBJECTIVES Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment as directed Follow all safety rules and regulations Follow established Maintenance practices in regards to SOP, preventative maintenance paperwork, parts usage and ordering Troubleshoot and repair high speed filling & packaging equipment (Jones Lines) Repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as forklifts, WAVE as needed Continuous improvement in speed and accuracy of product changeovers and preventative maintenance plans Installation and troubleshooting of production equipment EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required Automated Production Line Maintenance: 2 years required Maintenance Technician/Industrial Maintenance: 3 years preferred
