Job Purpose
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Analyze and maintain rolling forecast to actual orders and shipments to develop input to MRP for accurate material procurement.
• Interpret customer demand to create final assembly schedules consistent with plant capacity and material availability.
• Coordinate reported material shortages with order entry to communicate areas of concern to customers.
• Review and distribute immediate changes to accommodate customer needs.
To expedite material flow for previously unseen requirements.
• Create and maintain planning BOM structures used in MRP to accurately forecast material by customer by model.
• Provide data to establish monthly production plan material procurement and manpower allocation.
• Analyze and manage model-mix implementation to MRP.
• Submit data for weekly MRP to set parameters for EDI input material accuracy in MRP.
• Participate in the development of system controls and procedures that will enhance the division’s scheduling activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management Information Systems, or related field required or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5+ years of production scheduling experience required.
A successful candidate will also have a minimum of 5 years scheduling experience in a dynamic SKU sensitive manufacturing environment.
• Strong familiarity with the structuring of Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and general workflow in a manufacturing environment.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience required.
• Demonstrated expertise with trending, forecasting, and quantitative data analysis is required.
• Candidate should have strong skill set with EXCEL, Word, and Access.
