As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a results-driven and experienced Business Development Manager to help us identify and pursue new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the retail industry, a strong network of contacts, and a proven track record of driving sales growth.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating leads, building and nurturing client relationships, and closing deals to achieve revenue targets.
This position works onsite at our corporate headquarters in Eugene, Oregon.
The weekly schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm with some flexibility for client meetings, travel and special projects as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base and drive revenue growth.
Conduct market research to identify potential target industries and clients.
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients.
Negotiate and close deals, ensuring the successful execution of contracts.
Collaborate with internal teams for project planning an execution.
Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Review account documents such as quotes, contracts, details and plans for accuracy.
Identify and market new service opportunities for KRS within the account.
Maintain an accurate sales forecast.
Manage a regular schedule of travel to visit all account stakeholders (roughly 20% of the time).
Requirements:
Required Skills:
Proven track record of success in business development or sales, preferably within the retail industry.
Strong knowledge of the retail industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with a strong existing network of contacts in the retail industry.
Demonstrated ability to generate leads, qualify prospects, and close deals.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate the value proposition of our solutions.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline (or equivalent work experience)
2+ years of B2B sales experience
Experience with retail environments and operations
