Acerca de

Antumi (Toasijé) Pallas is a historian, university professor, writer, and visual artist. He teaches Global History at New York University in Madrid and non-Eurocentric Global History at IE University. He is presently a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at Morgan State University for 2024-2025.

His research focuses on the African presence in Spain and Europe from prehistory to present times. He also studies the origins of racism, as well as the philosophies of Pan-Africanism, and Afrocentricity, having published three books on history, a novel, and a variety of academic and popular articles.

From 2020 to 2024, he served as president of the Council for the Elimination of Racial or Ethnic Discrimination (CEDRE), Spain's leading official body dedicated to combating racism, linked to the Spanish Ministry of Equality. In addition to his scholarly work, he has spearheaded cultural and social initiatives advocating for the rights of African and Afro-descendant communities across Europe, Africa, and Abya Yala (America).
