Today, December 10, we celebrate World Human Rights Day to mark the anniversary of one of the world's most groundbreaking global pledges: the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Declaration proclaimed that everyone is entitled to non-negotiable rights regardless of race, color, religion, gender, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, or other status. This year’s theme - Our rights, our future, right now – highlights how human rights are a pathway to solutions, playing a critical role as a preventative, protective, and transformative force for good. By embracing and trusting the full power of human rights as the path to the world we want, we can become more peaceful, equal, and sustainable. Given the nature of our business and industry, SDG 3 'Good Health and Well-Being,' is where we have the most significant impact. For example, in 2023, our 87’000 instruments at work around the world provided critical clinical results and helped medical professionals make informed decisions for patients. 🌱 Watch this episode of Sustainability Seeds to learn more about the many ways we supported this important goal in 2023. #WeAreWerfen #SustainabilitySeeds #SDG3 #GoodHealthAndWellbeing #CSR #ESG #Sustainability #SDGs #PoweringPatientCare

  • 💝 How can we support someone diagnosed with breast cancer? As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, the disease continues to affect millions of people around the world. Facing a diagnosis together with the support of others can be immensely helpful but is not always intuitive. Each individual has different needs during this challenging time and deals with their diagnosis in a different way. Supporting breast cancer requires compassion, patience, and understanding. In this video, Nicole Salas, Werfen’s Senior Director of Global Communications and a breast cancer survivor, shares her story and offers advice on how to be supportive of people going through this journey, for example: -Listen without judgment  -Offer practical help  -Respect their boundaries  -Educate yourself  -Encourage self-care and normalcy  -Support their mental health  -Comprehend the changes As Nicky reminds us, sometimes simply being there can make all the difference. Watch the video to learn more about how we can support each other in times of need. 🎀  #BreastCancerAwareness #SupportingBreastCancer #PoweringPatientCare
