🇺🇸 Power Electronics #EVchargers played a vital role during Hurricane Milton evacuations. ⚡️ Florida Power & Light Company deployed "The Monster," a custom-built mobile charging trailer equipped with 6 Standalone NB 120 #electricvehicle chargers. 👉 These chargers were strategically positioned to assist Floridians traveling from west to east and south to north during the evacuations. As they returned home, up to 12 vehicles could charge simultaneously with up to 120 kW of power. It’s incredible to see how #sustainability can rise to the occasion in any situation! 💙 We’re proud to have contributed our part, delivering our #UnlimitedEnergy where it was most needed.
Economic developer turned electric vehicle champion. Always focused on Florida’s future. Leading the EVolution.
What do you do when a hurricane is heading towards the second largest state for EV adoption? You deploy the "Monster" - a custom-built mobile charging trailer with a 650 kW/1.3 MWH battery paired with 6 Power Electronics Level 3 DC fast chargers - and what will forevermore be known as the "Mini Monster" - an Xos Trucks mobile charging station. These unique assets were strategically positioned to support Floridians traveling west-east and south-north during Hurrican Milton evacuations and as they returned home. As devastating as storms are for our state, I love being part of the solution - and helping keep people powered up when it matters the most. This is just another way the FPL EVolution program enables range confidence for anyone wanting to drive electric in Florida! #electricvehicles #mobilecharging #FPLEVolution
