We are proud to be the clean energy intelligence platform used to certify that each hour of green electricity produced is matched to each hour of electricity consumed in the latest collaboration between Google, Better Energy, Energinet and Flexidao.⚡✅ This method introduces a new, very precise way of accounting for green electricity, known as ‘granular certificates.’ 🕐. The test marks the first Danish transfers of these certificates in a real-world scenario using actual metering data. Granular certificates have been under development internationally for years, with a strong interest—especially from large energy consumers and businesses—for reliable, hourly documentation of the origin of consumed energy to calculate precise carbon footprint. Flexidao's platform is able to monitor and match granular data and certificates on behalf of clients, empowering them to execute a more advanced procurement approach.
